Chenny Troupe is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to motivating individuals with special challenges through
animal-assisted therapy programs using certified therapy dogs. Chenny Troupe is comprised of over 250 dedicated
humans and 70 certified dogs working together to provide rehabilitative therapy to physically and emotionally challenged
individuals. By using animal-assisted therapy techniques, Chenny Troupe has been enhancing the health and well-being
of clients since 1991. Currently, Chenny Troupe dogs and volunteers work seven days a week at nine different Chicago
area programs created and designed by Chenny Troupe. |

Cowboy Dreams of Illinois is a non-profit organization formed for the
purpose of contributing positively through therapeutic horseback riding to the physical, cognitive, social, and
emotional well being of children with special needs in the Chicagoland Area. Cowboy Dreams is an Accredited Premier
Center of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Cowboy Dreams is operated under a
licensed physical therapist, a certified recreation therapist, an advanced therapeutic riding instructor, an executive
director, and an elected board of directors. |

families, groups, and businesses. Horses have much to teach us about patterns of communication, body language,
relationships. Through experimental activities, individuals gain immediate feedback from the horse as it mirrors

functioning for individuals suffering from various levels of emotional disabilities. The Horse of Teneker is founded
on a holistic approach to growth and character development for each individual who participates in equestrian assisted

Operating since 1997, Pegasus Special Riders is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
organization providing equine assisted therapy to physically and mentally challenged individuals. Equine assisted
therapy is the use of the horse to achieve a variety of therapeutic goals including cognitive, physical, emotional,
social, educational and behavioral. Pegasus is an all volunteer organization. Pegasus Special Riders provides children
and adults with special needs an activity that is both therapeutic and fun, in a safe, supportive, non-competitive
environment. Each client's weekly lesson includes both riding and care of the horse, so a relationship can develop
between the person and the animal. All activities are closely supervised by trained instructors and volunteers.
Physical therapists and other medical experts assist with the program as needed. Teaching methods, safety standards,
and all other aspects of the program are guided by the principles of the North American Riding for the Handicapped
Association (NARHA). |
